Welcome Home A Hero
Welcome Home a Hero is a volunteer program at the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas Airport (DFW) that welcomes home troops coming home for two weeks of rest and recuperation. A daily flight carries anywhere from 150 to 275 troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, and the volunteers greet them with a warm welcome and thanks for their service and sacrifice.
Every month, the Frontier DFW Connections Committee asks colleagues to come to the airport to welcome home the troops. These photos from Jan. 24 show some of the troops and our employees who welcomed them home.

A Future soldier waiting for a loved one.
Veterans, family members and volunteers greet the troops. For many of them, DFW is a stop before catching a connecting flight, but it's a wonderful stop for them and those lucky soldiers who call the Dallas-Fort Worth area home and are reunited with their loved ones.
