If you hear static, noise, or other voices on the line, there are a few things to check before entering a repair request. Static can be caused by cordless phone sets, answering machines, and modems. Try unplugging the equipment from both the jack and the electric outlet and plug in a standard telephone set to see if the problem is resolved.
