Frontier’s Senior Leadership team covers the gamut of the Internet, phone and television service industry experience. The team collaborates very closely to ensure that Frontier stays tightly on the track to providing our customers with a world-class experience.
Mr. McCarthy has been with Frontier Communications since 1990. After serving in a variety of positions across the United States, he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in April 2015. In April 2012, he became President and Chief Operating Officer. He joined the Frontier Board of Directors in May 2014. In addition, Mr. McCarthy was appointed a Trustee of The Committee for Economic Development, a nonprofit, nonpartisan, business-led, public policy organization, and he was elected to the Board of Trustees of Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Ms. Abernathy joined Frontier Communications in 2010 as Chief Legal Officer and Executive Vice President, Regulatory and Governmental Affairs. She is now responsible for the company's governmental and regulatory affairs. She served as a Commissioner with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) from 2001-2005 and participated as a U.S. representative in numerous international bilateral and multilateral negotiations. She was also a member of Frontier’s Board of Directors from 2006-2010.
Mr. Gable has been with Frontier Communications since 2012 Steve Gable became Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in April 2015. He joined Frontier Communications in November 2012 as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Prior to Frontier, Mr. Gable was Executive Vice President/CTO of Tribune Company. At the same time, he was President, Tribune Digital, with expanded responsibility for the strategy and supporting technology that powered the company’s digital brands latimes.com and chicagotribune.com.
Mr. Jureller joined Frontier Communications in January 2013 after holding top financial positions with General Atlantic LLC and WestPoint International, Inc. Having begun his career in finance with Bankers Trust Company, Mr. Jureller gained experience working for companies such as Trans-Resources, Inc., Gartner, Inc., Caribiner International, Inc., PepsiCo World Trading Company, Inc., General Electric Capital Corporation, and others. His responsibilities gave him wide exposure to telecommunications, including cable, wireless and internet services.
John Lass was appointed Executive Vice President, Field Operations for Frontier Communications in April 2015. He is responsible for all Frontier operations throughout 29 states, Network Operations, and Carrier and Wholesale operations. Most recently, Mr. Lass was President of Frontier’s Central Region, comprising Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota and Nebraska. Mr. Lass’ tenure with Frontier includes a variety of operating roles as well as leadership of integration activities related to significant mergers and acquisitions.
Ms. McKenney joined Frontier Communications in 2006 and is now responsible for Frontier Secure, Marketing and Customer Service. Before this, she was Executive Vice President, Frontier Secure and Administration. Prior to this, she was responsible for Human Resources, Sales Operations, Corporate Communications and Public Relations. She was Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Call Center Sales & Service from February 2008 to May 2012. Ms. McKenney joined the company as Senior Vice President, Human Resources in February 2006.
Mr. Nielsen joined Frontier Communications in March 2014 after having served as Associate General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Danbury, Conn.-based Praxair Inc. From 2007 to 2009, he was a Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of defense contractor Raytheon Co. Before that, Mr. Nielsen served as Chief Legal Counsel, and then Chief of Staff, to Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (2004-2007). He also served three two-year terms in the Connecticut Legislature, one term in the House (1993-1995) followed by two terms in the Senate (1995-1999).
Ms. Weslock joined Frontier Communications in July 2015 and oversees all aspects of human resources, including strategic direction and daily operations. She is responsible for labor relations, transformation and growth. An experienced global HR executive, Ms. Weslock has worked in many countries around the world. Ms. Weslock holds a JD from Pace University School of Law, a Masters from the Industrial Labor Relations School at Cornell University, and a Bachelors from Hood College. She is active in a multitude of professional Boards and organizations and has been awarded some of the top recognitions in the industry for her companies.
