Hi. In this video you’ll learn how to set up mail on your Apple iOS device.

Let’s go ahead and get started.

First, open the Settings app. On the left choose Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Choose Add Account. Select Other at the bottom of the list. Choose Add Mail Account.

Enter the name you’d like people to see when they receive an email from you in the Name field. Enter your email address in the Email field. Enter your Frontier password in the Password field. When you have entered all the information, choose Next.

Once your information has been verified, you will briefly see check marks by all of the fields.

Adding a Contact

Hi. In this video you’ll learn how to add a contact to Frontier Yahoo Mail.

Let’s go ahead and get started.

Once logged in to your Frontier Yahoo email account, click the Contacts icon. Then click New Contact. You’ll now be on the Add Contact screen. Enter the information that you would like to add for your new contact.

Take note that you can designate a label for this email address by clicking on the drop down arrow next to Email. You can also add or remove additional email addresses for the same contact by clicking on the plus or minus icon to the right of the email address field. Similarly, you can create multiple phone numbers for your contact in the same manner. If you’d like, you can also add a Nickname, Instant Messenger information, and Address for your contact.

When you have finished entering all the information that you’d like to include, click the Save button at the bottom of the window.

Composing & Sending Mail

Hi. In this video you’ll learn how to compose and send an email using Frontier Yahoo webmail.

Let’s go ahead and get started.

First, open your web browser. Let’s browse to webmail.frontier.com. Enter your email address and password, then click Login. To create a message, click the Compose button. Enter the email address that you would like to send a message to. Enter a subject in the Subject field. Next, type your message. When you have completed your message, click Send.

That’s it. You’re all set.

Creating a Subaccount

Hi. In this video you’ll learn how to create an additional Frontier email account or sub-account.

Let's go ahead and get started.

First, open your web browser and browse to http://security.frontier.com. Login with your primary Frontier email address and password. Click on Additional email addresses. Enter the email address you would like to create in the Email address name field.

Enter a password for the new email address. Click on the Add email address button. You’ll see a confirmation at the top of the window.

That’s it. You’re all set.

How to Block an Email Address

In this video, you’ll learn how to block an e-mail address in your Frontier Yahoo! Mail account.

First, open an Internet browser and go to webmail.frontier.com. Now, type in your username and password.

At the top right of the page, click on the gear icon and select Settings. Next, select Banned Addresses. Next to Add an address, type in the full e-mail address you no longer want to receive mail from. Then click Ban, and then click Save.

Now messages from that e-mail address will never make it to your inbox, and the sender will not know that they have been blocked.

That’s it.

How to Print an Email

In this video, you’ll learn how to print an email in your Frontier Yahoo! Mail account.

First, make sure your printer is on and connected to your computer.

Then, open an Internet browser and go to webmail.frontier.com. Next, type in your username and password. You will now see all current e-mails in your inbox.

Now click on the e-mail message that you’d like to print. At the top of the e-mail, click on More then Print.

A new window will open and show you a printable version of your e-mail. Click on Print on the top left and then click Print again. Your email will now print to the printer that your computer is connected to.

To return to your e-mail inbox, click Close Window.

How to Report a Phishing Scam

Hi. In this video you'll learn about phishing and how to report phishing in your Frontier Yahoo Mail.

Let's go ahead and get started.

Phishing is an internet scam in which corrupt parties phish (spelled P-H-I-S-H) for your personal information by attempting to lure you to click on a link in an email. You will then be directed to what looks like an official web site where you'll be encouraged to enter personal information. The fake web site appears as though it is that of a real company with which you have a relationship, but it is merely a means to steal information. Sometimes these scams are very obvious because of the English and spelling errors, but other times they can look very real.

If you suspect an email is a phishing scam, and you use Frontier Yahoo Mail, there's a very easy way to report it to Yahoo for investigation. From your Frontier Yahoo mailbox, click the checkbox to select the message. Then click the down arrow next to the Spam button. Choose Report a Phishing Scam from the drop down menu. Then do not reply to the email or click its links.

Mail Forwarding

Hi. In this video you’ll learn how to configure email forwarding for you Frontier Yahoo! email address.

Let’s go ahead and get started.

First, browse to webmail.frontier.com. Log in with your Frontier email address and password. Click on the Settings button in the top/right corner.

Click Settings. Choose the Account tab on the left hand side. Click the Edit button for the Yahoo account.

Choose the Forward option. Enter the email address you would like to forward your email to. Choose how you would like your email to be handled once forwarded.

Click Save. You’ll see this confirmation message. You should verify the forwarding was successful by checking the email account which you chose to forward to. Click OK.

That’s it. You’re all set.

Marking Spam

Hi. In this video, you’ll learn how to mark and report spam in your Frontier Yahoo Mail.

First, open an Internet browser and go to webmail.frontier.com. Now type in your username and password. If a message comes into your Frontier Yahoo mailbox that you consider spam, you can simply mark it as spam and remove it from your inbox while also alerting Yahoo of the matter.

Let’s get started.

To mark a message as spam, click the checkbox to the left of the message in your inbox to select it. Then click the Spam button in the toolbar above the index. This will move the message to your spam folder.

To report a message to Yahoo, click the checkbox to select the message, then click the down arrow next to the Spam button. Choose the most appropriate item from the menu—Report Spam, Report a Hacked Account, Report a Phishing Scam, Not My Mail.

Remember, if you accidently mark a message as spam, you can retrieve it by clicking the Spam folder, highlighting the message, and clicking the Not Spam button. This will move the message back to the Inbox.

SSL, or Secure Socket Layer, is the leading industry standard for securely sending passwords or credit card numbers through the Internet. Enabling SSL in your email application can prevent unauthorized parties from gaining access to sensitive, confidential, and personal information. To help protect you, Frontier strongly encourages its customers to enable SSL in any email client used to send and receive email with your Frontier account.

OK, let's go ahead and get started.

To get started, click Mail in the menu bar at the top of the window. Next, click Preferences. Verify that the Username is your full Frontier email address.

In the dropdown menu for Outgoing Server, choose Edit SMTP Server List. Check the box next to Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Click OK.

Next, choose the Advanced tab at the top of the Accounts window. Check the box next to Use SSL. Notice the port should change to 995. Close the window using the red circle. You should be prompted to save your changes. Click Save.

Updating Username

Hi. In this video you’ll learn how to update your username in Mac Mail.

First, click Mail in the top menu. Click Preferences. Verify your username is your full Frontier email address. Close the Accounts window. You will be prompted to save the changes. Click Save.

Adding a Contact

In this video, you'll learn how to add an email contact in Microsoft Outlook.

First, open Microsoft Outlook. Then click on the arrow under New Items and select New Contact. Enter the name of the new contact in the Full Name field, and then enter the contact's email address in the Email Address field. You can also add a phone number and address for your new contact in the corresponding fields. When you've entered all of the information that you'd like to include, click the Save & Close button.

Change Username

In this video you'll learn how to update your username in Microsoft Outlook.

First, open Microsoft Outlook and click on File, Account Settings, and then Account Settings again. Double-click your email account and then click More Settings. Now make sure that your user name is the same as your email address. If not, enter your fill email address. Next, hit OK, then Next. Then close the Account Settings box, and you'll be returned to the main Outlook window.

Email Setup

Hi. In this video you'll learn how to set up your email in Outlook.

Let's go ahead and get started.

Click Tools then Account Settings. Click the New button. Enter the name you would like people to see when you send them an email. Now, enter your Frontier email address. Enter your Frontier password in both the Password and Retype Password fields. Check the box for Manually configure server settings or additional server types. Then click Next.

Make sure Internet Email is selected. Click Next again. Enter pop3.frontier.com for Incoming mail server. Enter smtp.frontier.com for Outgoing mail server. Enter your Frontier email address for User Name. Enter your Frontier password. Click the More Settings button.

Click the Outgoing Server tab. Click the box for My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Click the Advanced tab. Check the box for This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL). Note that the port number in the box above should change to 995.

Choose SSL from the Use the following type of encrypted connection drop-down menu. Enter 465 for the Outgoing server port, then click OK. Click Next. Click Finish.

Close the Accounts window and that's it. You're all set.

Enable SSL

In this video you'll learn how to enable SSL, or Secure Sockets Layer, in Microsoft Outlook.

To get started, click Files in the menu bar at the top left. Next, click Account Settings then select Account Settings. Now select the account that you would like to edit, and click Change.

Under Login Information, verify the User Name. It's your full Frontier email address. Click More Settings and then select the Advanced tab. Click the box for This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) under Incoming server. The port should automatically change to 995.

Next, choose SSL in the dropdown menu by Use the following type of encrypted connection. In the Outgoing server (SMTP) box, enter 465 and then click OK. Then click Next. This will test your account settings. When it's finished, close the text box and then click Finish.

That's it. You're all set.

Marking Spam

In this video, you'll learn how to mark an email message as junk or spam in Microsoft Outlook.

If a message comes into your mailbox that you consider spam or junk mail, you can simply mark it as junk and remove it from your inbox. This will also automatically redirect all messages from that sender to your junk mail folder.

Let's get started.

To mark a message as junk or spam, highlight the message in your inbox to select it. Then right-click on the email and select Junk from the menu and then Block Sender. You'll then see a pop-up window that confirms you marked emails from this sender as junk or spam. Click OK.

If you accidentally blocked a sender, you can retrieve it. Go to your Junk email folder, highlight the email message, right-click on it and select Junk from the menu, and then click Never Block Sender. You'll then see a pop-up window that confirms that the sender of this message has been added to your Safe Senders list. Now click OK.

That's it. You're all set.

Sending an Attachment

Hi. In this video you'll learn how to send an attachment using Microsoft Outlook.

Let's go ahead and get started.

To get started, click on the New button in the top left hand corner. Type the email address you'd like to send the attachment to in the To field. Enter a subject in the Subject line. Type a message to the recipient. Next click Insert. Click on Attach File.

Browse to the location where you have saved your file. Select the file you would like to attach, then click Insert. You'll notice the file shows in the attachment line of the email message. Click Send.

Enable SSL

In this video you’ll learn how to enable SSL—or Secure Sockets Layer—in Mozilla Thunderbird.

To get started, open Mozilla Thunderbird. Click the menu icon in the top right corner. Then click Preferences, and then Account Settings. Select the tab for Server Settings and select SSL/TLS from the drop down menu next to Connection security.

Verify that the User Name is your Frontier email address. Then select Outgoing Server from the menu on the left. Choose your Frontier email account, and then click Edit. Choose SSL/TLS from the drop down menu next to Connection security. The port should now automatically change to 465. You’ll also want to make sure that your incoming port changed as well. For incoming, the correct server and port would be pop3.frontier.com, SSL on port 995. For outgoing, the correct server and port would be smtp.frontier.com, SSL on port 465. Now click OK and click OK once more.

That’s it. You’re all set.

Update Username

Hi, in this video you’ll learn how to update your username in Mozilla Thunderbird.

Let’s go ahead and get started.

First, click on the menu icon in the top right corner. Next, click Options, then Account Settings. On the left, click on Server Settings. Verify that your username is your full Frontier email address. Click OK. Click OK again at the prompt. You may be prompted to re-enter your password when the program tries to check for new email. Enter your Frontier password and click OK.

Click Accounts, then click Email. The Add new account window should come up. Enter your Frontier email address, and then enter your Frontier email password. Enter the name you'd like people to see when you send them an email. Check Manually configure server settings, and then click Next.

This window should come up. For the Incoming server address enter pop3.frontier.com. Check Requires a secure connection (SSL). The port should automatically change to 995. Now enter your full Frontier email address for Logon user name. For the Outgoing server address enter smtp.frontier.com. Check Requires a secure connection (SSL). Check Requires authentication. Change the port to 465, and then click Next. Click Finish.

Windows Live Mail will automatically begin to download any email you have waiting for you.

Under Incoming mail, check the box next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL). The Incoming mail (POP3) box should automatically change to 995. Click Apply, then click OK.
