This video will show you how to view and respond to recent phone calls.

FiOS Digital Voice provides quick and easy access to phone calls and voicemail messages on your smartphone or tablet. From your handheld device, you can respond to calls, listen to messages, manage calls, and view messages lists.

Let’s get started.

Log in to see your account’s dashboard. Scroll down to view recent calls. Click anywhere in the Recent Calls section to open the complete list. The Recent Calls list shows calls you missed, calls you received, and calls you placed. You can select any call to find more details about the contact.

The Call Information page provides additional details such as date and time. It will also display other numbers like the mobile number or work number you may have previously saved for this contact.

To return a call, simply click on the phone icon. To send a text message, select the text icon. Please note, your mobile services carrier will be used for both calls and text messages and fees may apply.

When your text message or call is completed, you’ll be returned to the call information screen. To return back to the Recent Calls list, click the back arrow. Remember – you can manage your voicemail messages and features from your FiOS Digital Voice web portal which is located at Frontier.com. If you have additional questions, call us at 1.800.921.8101.

This video will show you how to set up your FiOS Digital Voice Calling and Voicemail features. Managing your FiOS Digital Voice calling features and voicemail settings on your iOS or Android mobile device is easy. Just follow these simple steps.

Open the app and log in using your Frontier ID username and password. Select the menu at the top left to display your MyFrontier main menu. Tap the Frontier Digital Voice selection, then tap Settings on the FIOS Digital Voice Summary screen. From here you will be able to view and manage your calling feature settings and voicemail feature settings.

That’s it. You’re all set.

FiOS Digital Voice gives you unlimited calling to all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and Canada, Voice messaging and many other useful calling features. Ten digit dialing is required for local as well as long distance calls. Be sure to use the three digit area code and the seven digit telephone number every time you place a local call.

Your FiOS Digital Voice Service includes one main voice mailbox. Plus you can also create up to eight additional sub-mailboxes. Now everyone in the family can get their own messages in their own voice mailbox.

Checking voicemail from your home phone is easy. Simply dial *86. From any other phone dial 1.844.387.5200, then follow the prompts to set up your voicemail or to retrieve messages.

You can also access home phone information directly from your FiOS TV. Simply press Menu on your remote. Scroll to FiOS Digital Voice and press OK. There you can easily view your call logs, check your voicemail and access calling features.

First, log in to your Frontier Account to see your dashboard. Scroll down to see three of the most recent voicemail messages. Click anywhere in the Voicemails section to open the complete Recent Voicemails lists.

The Voicemail list shows new and old messages. Click on any message to listen. Press the Play button and listen to the voicemail message. And press Pause to stop. To rewind or fast-forward through the voicemail message, simply tap or move the slide bar left or right.

To return a call, simply click Call Back. To send a text message to the caller, click Text Back. Please note, your mobile services carrier will be used for both calls and text messages and fees may apply. Click Delete if you want to permanently erase the voicemail message from your list.

When your text message or call is completed, you’ll be returned to the voicemail list. To return back to your dashboard, click the back arrow. For more details about the voicemail message, select the Information button. The information screen provides additional details such as day and time of the call. It will also display other numbers, like the mobile number or work number, which you may have previously saved for this contact.

You can also return the call or send a text message from this screen by clicking the appropriate icon on your mobile device. And remember, you can manage your voicemail messages and features from your FiOS Digital Voice web portal which is located at Frontier.com.

In this video you‘ll learn how to use Three-Way Calling.

Three-Way Calling allows you to add a third person to your conversation so you can speak to two people at once.

First, dial and connect to the first person. To add the second person, press the flash button. The first caller is automatically placed on hold while you listen for three short beeps or tones, followed by the dial tone.

Now, dial the number of the second person. The first person will remain on hold. When the second person answers, press the flash button again and all three of you will be connected. If the second caller doesn't answer, simply press the flash button to restore the first connection and the second call will automatically disconnect.

If someone you called wants to leave the three-way conversation, they can simply hang up. You’ll still be connected to the other person.

To disconnect the entire three-way call, simply hang up the phone. The other two people will automatically disconnect.

Either of your connections can be local or long distance. If you’re making a long distance call, please be sure to dial 1, then the 10-digit phone number. Long distance charges may apply.

Keep in mind if you have Call Waiting, it will not work during a Three-Way Call.

Hi. If you’re having trouble with your phone service the first thing we’re going to want to know is whether the trouble is inside the house or outside. Today we’re going to walk you through a few simple steps to diagnose that.

For many of our customers this may take care of the problem, and if you do require a service call it can save you money by letting us know ahead of time whether the problem is with the house wiring or with the Frontier service. This is a simple test—anybody can do it—all it requires is a flat head screwdriver and a working telephone.

The first thing you’re going to want to do is locate your NID. The NID stands for Network Interface Device, and this is the device that gives you your connection to Frontier’s service.

It’s about the size of a lunch box, and you’ll usually find it on the outside of the house within about 10 feet of where the power enters the house. We’re going to show you a few pictures of what your NID may look like so you can help identify it.

Open your NID using your flat head screwdriver. Go ahead and plug your working telephone into the test jack inside the NID. Now listen. If you hear a good, clear dial tone with no static or interference, then the problem is with the inside wiring at the house.

However, if you can still hear interference and the dial tone is not clear, then the problem is with Frontier service. We’ll come out and help you.

In this video, you’ll learn how to replace your Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) backup battery.

To remove the current battery, feel alongside the cover panel for a tab that lifts the door open. Depending upon your model, the tab could be located on the left or on the bottom. Opening the door will reveal the battery.

Now, detach the Velcro or un-do the snaps, depending upon which model you have. Unplug the jack, then pull to remove the battery from the terminal and disconnect the leads from the top of the battery.

When you receive the replacement backup battery, go through the same process in reverse order to install the new one. Find the tab that opens the door and lift it off the unit. Put the battery into the unit, connect the leads, and attach it to the housing unit.

That’s it. You’ve successfully removed and replaced your backup battery.

In this video, you’ll learn how to troubleshoot your Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) Battery Backup Unit (or BBU) and your Power Supply Unit (or PSU).

The Battery Backup Unit and the Power Supply Unit are required for FiOS and Vantage Voice services to the Optical Network Terminal (or ONT).

Each Battery Backup Unit must have a Power Supply Unit that plugs into an outlet, supplying power to it.

Each Power Supply Unit has a small green light on it. If it’s illuminated, it has power. If not, it’s not receiving power. To determine if the PSU is receiving power, try testing the outlet with a lamp or hair dryer. This can easily determine if the outlet is supplying power.

Did you notice an intermittent beep coming from the Battery Backup Unit? This means it needs attention.

Please note – even though there are different BBU models, the lights on BBUs are basically the same.

To test the battery for possible replacement, first remove the leads connecting to the BBU. Then unplug the Battery Backup Unit from the AC power outlet. Wait 30 seconds and then plug it back in to AC power. Wait for the BBU to start beeping, indicating it’s not getting battery power. Then replace the battery by firmly re-attaching the leads and placing it back in the housing unit.

That's it.
