If you access your Frontier email account with a third-party email program (e.g., Outlook, IncrediMail, MacMail, Mozilla Thunderbird and others), an important security enhancement may need your attention.
Yahoo, the platform Frontier uses to provide you with email service, implemented a new and more secure way to access your email account. The new security technology, known as OAuth, helps prevent anyone from gaining access to your username and password. With OAuth, your credentials will be encrypted and protected from hackers.
Not sure which email program you're using? Get help identifying your program. No matter which software you use, you should always check that you have the latest update.

Please be aware that Microsoft Outlook 2016 and Kindle mail clients do not currently support OAuth but are expected to do so soon.
Special instructions for Apple iOS device users: You may need to change the settings for your Frontier email account. If you originally set it up by choosing Other as the type of account, you will need to change it to a Yahoo! account. See instructions for setup, particularly step 6.
