Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016

Be sure you have your full email address and password handy—that is, the primary email address associated with your Frontier account—before taking any further action.

To update Microsoft Outlook 2010, 2013 or 2016 to use an Application Specific Password:

  1. Generate an Application Specific Password.
  2. Choose one of the two methods below:

    1. Click File and Account Settings, and once more on the Account Settings drop down.

    2. Click the email account to be updated and click Change.

    3. Enter the Application Specific Password under Logon Information and click More Settings.

    4. Click the Outgoing Server tab and select Log on using. For your User Name and Password, enter your Frontier Account Editor credentials, that is, your primary email address and password associated with your Frontier account. Then click OK.

    5. Uncheck Automatically Test Account Settings and click Next, and then Finish. Finally, close the Account Settings window.

    1. Click the Send/Receive button and wait for the Email and Password verification screen to pop up.
    2. Update the Password field with your new Application Specific Password and click OK.

Your email software is now ready to use the Application Specific Password.
