However, if you are using it, these are the instructions you need. To set up your Frontier email account in Outlook Express for Windows, version 5 or later:

  1. Launch Outlook Express and click Tools > Accounts > Mail.
  2. Remove any other accounts that you see here that you don't use, and then click Add > Mail.
  3. Enter your "display name"—this is that name that appears on all of your outgoing email—and click Next.
  4. Enter your Frontier, FrontierNet, Citlink/CTAZ, Newnorth, Epix, or GVNI email address and click Next.
  5. At the top, you should see the following:
    • My incoming mail  server is a  POP3 server
    • Incoming mail (POP3): pop3.frontier.com
    • Outgoing mail (SMTP): smtp.frontier.com
  6. For your Internet Mail Logon, you'll need your Account Name for your Frontier, FrontierNet, Citlink/CTAZ, Newnorth, Epix, or GVNI email address and your Password. It is OK to place a checkmark in Remember Password, but no other box should be checked.
  7. Click Next > Finish.
  8. You should now be on the Mail tab portion of the Internet Accounts window. With your Frontier mail account highlighted, click Properties and then click the Servers tab at the top of the window.
  9. In the Outgoing Mail Server section of the page, place a checkmark in the box to the left of My Server Requires Authentication.
  10. Click the Settings button to the right of My server requires authentication.
