The amount of space that you have for your personal web site depends on the service plan you have selected. Your web space limit is programmed into our servers, and you will not be able to exceed it. If you attempt to upload more than you have space for, you will receive an error message.
You can easily see how much space you have available on the Frontier server by launching the Frontier Account Editor*. Log in using your complete Frontier, FrontierNet, Citlink, NewNorth, Epix or GVNI email address. Click Email and Web Site Storage Usage.
If you receive a message telling you that you are over the limit on personal disk space, this warning is about your webspace, not your email space. Every Frontier customer starts off with 25MB for their webspace and 25MB for their email—depending on their chosen service plan.
Your webspace includes everything in your two folders: public_html (where your web site resides) and public_ftp (where you can store files not associated with your web site). If the total size of the two folders is over 25MB you will receive the auto-generated message from us.
Two weeks from the time the warning email is sent, if you are still over the limit, all of your files will be removed from the public_ftp and public_html folders. To avoid this, you need to delete some files from your webspace. You can use FTP or your web browser to delete files.
* You must be on the Frontier network in order to access the Frontier Account Editor. If you are in a hotel or at the office, you may not be able to access the Frontier Account Editor.
