Display Errors

You can fix the following display problems easily.

Program Guide Display A TiVo DVR can store nearly two weeks' worth of program guide data (typically 12½ days). To fix problems with DVR storage, "force a service call" by following these steps from your DVR:
  1. Select TiVo Central > Settings and Messages
  2. Select Settings then Network
  3. Select Connect to TiVo Service Now.
Frozen TiVo® Screen A frozen screen can happen when software is busy processing or network is dropped. Un-freeze with a soft restart: Press Thumbs Down, Thumbs Up and Record.
Wrong Aspect Ratio If picture is distorted (squished, stretched, etc.), check TV settings on both TV and TiVo. From DVR select TiVo Central > Settings and Messages > Settings > Video > TV Aspect Ratio.
