How do I apply for the Frontier Essentials Internet Program?

  • You must apply for the Federal Emergency Broadband Benefit Program and be certified by the FCC National verifier. You must go to getemergencybroadband.org and provide documentation associated with Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) formerly Food Stamps, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8), VA Veterans Pension (Supplemental Income for Wartime Veterans), VA Survivors Pension, Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance, Tribally Administered Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (Tribal TANF), Head Start (Income-Based), Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), Federal Pell Grant, Or have experience a documented substantial loss of income since February 29, 2020. This must include the participant’s name, effective date and household address. The household address must match the address where the service is requested. You must accept the enrollment acknowledgment that Frontier will send via SMS/email following the National Verifier approval

After I sign up with the National Verifier for the offer and provide the required information, how will I know if I qualify?

  • You will receive a confirmation email with approved status.

If I participate in the Frontier Essentials Internet Program, what’s my monthly rate? Is this a contract or term agreement?

  • Once you have enrolled in the Frontier Essentials Internet offer, the current non-promotional monthly rate will range from $19.99 – $74.99 depending on the internet speed subscribed to at your address. After federal discounts have been applied, the monthly rate for service will be $0 - $24.99, depending on your internet subscription. The non-promotional monthly service rate is guaranteed for the first two years; re-certification is required after the two-year period. This service is non-contractual and does not have a term agreement. Additional products including but not limited to Inside Wire Maintenance, Voice, Frontier Secure products, Frontier TV, Dish TV, etc. are not included in this program and will be billed as an additional monthly charge.

Are there any installation fees?

  • The installation fee is waived upon application approval, which must occur prior to your scheduled install date.

How do I qualify for Frontier Essentials Internet program?

  • You may submit an application to the National Verifier getemergencybroadband.org in your name for the Frontier Essentials Internet Program and attach the program participation documentation for the person in your household who is receiving the benefit. The documentation must include the program participant name and address (which must match the address where Frontier service is requested); and the documentation must show the effective date so it is clear that the participant is currently receiving the aforementioned benefits.

Will Frontier conduct a credit check when I apply for service?

  • As part of standard Frontier policy, all orders for new service are subject to a credit check. Results of the credit check impact your ability to obtain internet service. A deposit may be required. The deposit for internet will be waived, but if you have other services on the account, a deposit may be required.

How often do I need to provide proof of eligibility?

  • You must qualify for the FCC Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program in order to participate in the Frontier Essentials program.
    • You must be certified by the FCC National Verifier prior to eligibility of the Frontier Essential offer.
    • Frontier must receive the enrollment acknowledgment acceptance.
  • At the end of the temporary EBB Program, you may be required to re-certify with Frontier.

Is a technician required to install service?

  • Installation will depend on the type of internet services ordered. When you place your order, the Frontier customer service representative will advise if a technician is needed for installation.

How can I sign up?

  • Initiate your application by completing the FCC National Verifier application form found at getemergencybroadband.org. Upon approval from the National Verifier, Frontier will send you a SMS/email to accept the Terms of enrolling in the Frontier Essentials Internet offer for the EBB program.

Subject to program qualification.  To apply for the Federal Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) Program visit GetEmergencyBroadband.org. Once qualified, customer must contact Frontier to complete further enrollment requirements. EBB is a government assistance program that may be discontinued at any time.
