What's a vacation suspension?
As an alternative to canceling your Frontier services, in most locations you can suspend them at a discounted rate. This allows you to keep your number and frontier.net email address.

I received a free gift or promotional pricing when I signed up for services. Will I be charged a cancellation fee?
No. Because you’re only suspending your service temporarily, there is no cancellation fee. However, the “clock” on your promotional rate will continue to run throughout the duration of your suspension. If you are on a term without promotional pricing, the term will be extended by the number of months the service is suspended.

How long can I put my services on vacation suspension?
The period of time that you may suspend your service varies, depending on your location.

Is there a charge?
Yes. Charges vary, depending on your location and the services you suspend. In most cases, the charges are significantly discounted from regular rates.

Will my home security system still work?
If a phone line is required for your home security system, you will need to leave the phone active.

Can I check my voicemail while I’m gone?
No. All calling features, including voicemail, are suspended.

Will I have access to my email?
Yes. Your frontier.net email address remains active and you can access your emails anywhere in the world via webmail.

What happens if I come back early?
Just give us 48 hours’ notice of the date change, and we’ll have your services working when you return.

How do I suspend service?

Vacation Service requires qualifying Phone service and may be applied to qualifying Internet service. Reconnection charges may apply unless reconnection date is provided upon enrollment in Vacation Service. Service may be suspended for one to nine months within 12-month period. If service is not reinstated after nine months, original service package will be automatically reactivated at applicable monthly charges. Lifeline plans are not eligible for Vacation Service. Promotional offers on account will continue while enrolled in Vacation Service. Frontier Identity Protection: covers one person and up to 10 devices. Additional Identity Protection services may be purchased at $9.99 per month, per person. Must be 18 years or older. Monthly price is per person. Additional Identity Protection services may be purchased at $10.99 per month, per person. Frontier does not warrant that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
