Ethernet Services

Did you know that Frontier has a significant Ethernet-enabled network in our territories and continues to expand the deployment so you can reach more customers? Well, we do! We’ve also earned MEF 2.0 Certification and deliver carrier-grade Ethernet services that offer the performance, capability and flexibility you need to meet the demands of your customers. Whether you require networking capabilities or scalable Internet access, Frontier has the expertise and capabilities to provide a robust solution. Our EPATH service provides an innovative capability which enables you to access Frontier’s LATAs via a single interconnection to our network, increasing your efficiency and connecting you to new markets.

  • Scale quickly with speeds from 1Mbps to 10Gbps so you can meet the growing needs of your customers
  • Trust our network, which is backed by SLAs for Availability, Jitter, Packet Delivery and Latency, giving you high level Quality of Service (QoS) metrics and high network performance for your customers
  • Prioritize traffic with 3 levels of Class of Service (CoS) so you can control network traffic
  • Access our broad Ethernet footprint through both fiber (EoF) and copper (EoC), giving you the connection that works best for your requirements
  • Efficiently share a single ENNI across multiple LATAs using our innovative EPATH offering, eliminating multiple interconnects to increase your efficiency
  • Trust in our certified engineers who proactively monitor our network 24/7/365, in our state-of-the-art Network Operations Center, helping to avoid network incidents
  • Rely on our team’s deep networking expertise—we participate in the MEF’s Ethernet Interconnect Project, working with Ethernet leaders to standardize and simplify interconnects for wholesale customers
  • Ethernet Private Line (EPL) Point-to-point connectivity

Frontier’s Ethernet Private Line (EPL) provides connectivity for private, secure data transport. It uses a dedicated User-to-Network Interface [UNI] for point-to-point connections and a single Ethernet Virtual Connection [EVC] for each UNI pair. Ideal for large data sets and applications that require high performance such, as voice and video applications.

  • Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) Point-to-multipoint connectivity

Allow a single, multiplexed interconnection to connect end-user locations over multiple Ethernet Virtual Connections (EVCs). This regional hub Network-to-Network Interface (NNI) is ideal for connecting your customer’s Local Area Networks (LANs), data centers and remote sites. Quality of Service (QoS) attributes offer both integrity and performance and provide visibility across your customer’s network.

  • EPATH Single interconnect across Frontier LATAs

Frontier offers a cost-effective and efficient method to extend WAN connectivity throughout our footprint. Our single OSS Infrastructure allows you to share one ENNI across multiple Frontier LATAs when using our EVPL service. This innovative approach provides greater integration for your customer’s regional or national WANs and saves you time and resources by reducing the number of required interconnects.
