Frontier provides Small Business customers with an Ethernet portal free of charge. For the most part, you will find it functionally similar to the current online system. There are a few minor differences in the set-up and management of some advanced calling features. A comprehensive user guide and training is available in the portal.
The Frontier portal provides all necessary performance data required to optimize and manage your network. The portal dashboard will provide bandwidth usage and availability, with a 15-minute delay. Frontier's portal provides SLA-related metrics, such as availability, roundtrip delay, jitter and packet loss.
You can set alerts using the Frontier portal, depending on the level of Ethernet service. Users with Platinum Ethernet service can configure alerts through the user interface. Silver and Gold level users will receive auto-generated standard reports related to specific service-level agreement SLA parameters.
If you need to order new services or upgrades, this cannot be done through the portal. Please contact your Frontier account executive.
Frontier offers three levels of Ethernet Service:
- Silver service is Frontier's basic business-class data service with improved performance across all standard performance parameters. Ethernet Silver SLA, termed Standard Data Service, is Frontier's upgraded replacement of Best Effort Ethernet designed specifically for the commercial customer.
- Gold service is a premium business data service featuring enhanced performance parameters with packet forwarding priority set to Priority Data.
- Platinum service carries Frontier's highest quality of service performance parameters and includes voice grade packet forwarding priority set to real time.
