How to update your Frontier Email security settings

We require SSL encryption to be enabled on every device used to check your Frontier Email account.

This adds email security to your account by automatically encrypting each email session and creating more secure connections between any devices you use to send emails.

How to enable SSL encryption in Apple Mail

Newer versions of Mail will automatically test for SSL and create it if available. If you have already created an email account in Mail and want to change the SSL:
  1. Click Mail then Preferences
  2. Select Account
  3. Select Edit SMTP Server List and click Advanced
  4. Check the box next to Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) then click OK

  1. Click File
  2. Select Account Settings from the drop down menu
  3. Select the email account you want to edit then click Change
  4. Click the More Settings button then the Security tab
  5. Make sure the checkbox is selected next to Encrypt data between Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange
