Broadband Consumer Labels

We’re consistently reliable and 100% transparent.

As of April 10, 2024, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), requires internet providers to display their product information in a standard format.

These Broadband Consumer Labels are just like nutrition labels. They tell you everything you need to know about our fees, promotional pricing, product details, and more.

At Frontier, we believe in transparency. All Frontier internet plans include unlimited data and no overage charges. Plus, premium routers are included, so there’s no monthly equipment rental fee.

Simply select a product in the drop-down menu, or if you’re coming from another page it should be below, and you’ll be good to go.

FAQs

Where can I find Frontier’s Broadband Consumer Labels?

You can find all of our Broadband Consumer Labels, also referred to as “nutrition labels,” on this page.

What are download and upload speed?

Download speed refers to how quickly you can receive data (i.e. streaming content) from the internet. Upload speed refers to how quickly you can send data (i.e. uploading images) to the internet.

I took a speed test. Why are my results different than my plan’s advertised speed?

Most often, you’ll see a difference between your speed test results and your plan speeds when taking a speed to device test. This type of test measures the speed from your router to your connected devices. It can be affected by the type of device you’re using (phone, computer, tablet, etc.) and the quality of your Wi-Fi connection. This can cause your results to be lower than your plan speeds. What is latency?

Latency (often referred to as a ping) is the time it takes for a data to pass from one point on a network to another. Think of it as the reaction time of your connection. It’s measured in milliseconds, and the faster your ping, the better.

Low latency is important for activities like gaming. A few milliseconds can mean the difference between winning or coming in second place in an online multiplayer match. High latency can lead to what’s known as lag.

What can impact my internet speeds?

Several factors can impact your Wi-Fi speeds. These include the location of your router, the number of devices on your network, the types of devices you’re using, how old they are, and more. Learn more about your WI-Fi speed and how to optimize your connection.
