Often, the best way to troubleshoot internet issues is to restart or reboot your devices.

How to restart your router

Can't browse or get online? Restarting your router will usually resolve most problems such as slow speeds, disconnects or wireless issues.

Sign up for outage updates by text

The best way to stay informed during service outages is to add your mobile number to your account, then turn on SMS service alerts. You’ll get updates automatically any time you’re affected by a service outage.

If you don’t already have a verified mobile number on file, here’s how to add one.

Add your number in the MyFrontier app

  1. Sign in to the MyFrontier app.
  2. Select More from the bottom navigation menu, then My Account.
  3. Under Contact information, select Phone numbers.
  4. Tap Edit, then Add new number and add your mobile phone number.
  5. Select Next to validate your number with a security code.
  6. Select Done when verification is complete.

Add your number in your Frontier account

  1. Sign in to your account and visit My Profile.
  2. Under Contact information, select the pencil icon then Add phone number.
  3. Add your phone number and check This is a mobile number.
  4. Click Verify to validate your number with a security code.
  5. Select Done when verification is complete.

Turn on service alerts in MyFrontier app

  1. From the More menu, tap Notification Settings.
  2. Tap Service alerts. Toggle SMS alerts on.

Turn on service alerts in your Frontier account

  1. From the My Account menu, select My Profile.
  2. Navigate to Notification Settings.
  3. Select Service alerts. Toggle SMS alerts on.

    Get outage updates without signing up

    Don’t want to opt into ongoing service alerts? You can still get one-time updates by text/SMS during a service outage.

    1. Text OUT to 70994.
    2. If you’re affected by a service outage, we’ll text updates until the outage is resolved.

      You can text again any time you want to check if your services are affected.

      Access your account during a service outage

      If you have cellular service, you can access your account or pay your bill with the MyFrontier mobile app.
