Troubleshooting phone issues

Having issues with your Frontier phone services? Here are a few quick and easy ways to get support.

I’m having trouble with long distance calling

Please try our Support Wizard to help diagnose and fix the problem. There are three common reasons why you may not be able to make long distance calls:

  • Your payment is overdue so your long distance calling service is restricted.
  • There’s a physical problem at a telephone switch.
  • Your call forwarding is turned on.

Preventing your phone service from being switched

Frontier can prevent your phone service from being switched without your consent through what’s called a local carrier freeze.

To comply with FCC regulations, we’re required to obtain your authorization prior to placing a freeze on your account. Please fill out our Local Carrier Freeze Form to start the process.
