How to use Caller ID on your TV

Caller ID allows you to see the name and number of incoming callers, missed calls, and call logs. With eligible TV and Voice service, you can view Caller ID info right on your TV screen.

Check for eligible TV service

To use Caller ID on your TV, you’ll need active Digital Voice service and Fiber TV service with a compatible set-top box.

Note: Caller ID isn’t compatible with the following set-top boxes:

  • Motorola 2500 P1
  • Motorola 2500 P2
  • DCT (Digital Converter) 700

How to activate Caller ID

Follow these steps using your set-top box remote to activate Caller ID:
  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Select Notifications.
  4. Choose Caller ID.
  5. Select Check Availability.

You’ll see a message confirming that Caller ID is available. It may take up to 15 minutes to activate.

How to customize Caller ID

You can change the duration and location of Caller ID alerts on your TV screen with the following steps:

  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Select Notifications.
  4. Choose Caller ID.
  5. Choose how long you’d like Caller ID alerts to display (2, 5, 10, or 15 seconds).
  6. Choose where you’d like Caller ID alerts to display on your TV screen (top right, top left, bottom right, or bottom left).

    How to disable Caller ID

    Follow these steps using your set-top box remote to disable Caller ID:

    1. Press the Menu button.
    2. Navigate to Settings.
    3. Select Notifications.
    4. Choose Caller ID, then Alert Display.
    5. Select Disable and press OK.

    Troubleshooting and support

    If you’re having issues with Caller ID on your Fiber TV service, try the troubleshooting steps below.

    1. Ensure Caller ID is enabled.
    2. If Caller ID isn’t showing up on your Fiber TV, try restarting your set-top box. Press the power button for 15 seconds or unplug the power cord from the device for 10 seconds, then plug it back in.
    3. If Caller ID is working but a specific number isn’t showing up, check to see if the number is blocked or out of area.
