Affordable Connectivity Program
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a non-transferable (from one person to another) federal government benefit program operated by the Federal Communications Commission that provides a discount up to $30 per month ($75 on Tribal Lands) on the cost of internet services. With the ACP discount, Frontier broadband service could be free to you. You can also use the discount to reduce the cost of higher-priced service tiers.
The program is limited to one monthly internet discount per household and a one-time connected device discount per household. Only eligible customers may enroll. You may obtain ACP supported internet service from Frontier (or any other participating provider) and may transfer your ACP benefit to another provider at any time.
To qualify, your annual income must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or you must certify that you or someone in your household receives benefits from:
- Medicaid
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) formerly Food Stamps
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8)
- VA Veterans Pension (Supplemental Income for Wartime Veterans)
- VA Survivors Pension
- Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance
- Tribally Administered Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (Tribal TANF)
- Head Start (Income-Based)
- Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR)
- National School Lunch Program (NSLP)
- School Breakfast Program (SBP)
- Federal Pell Grant
- Women, Infants and Children Program
The Federal Government determines ACP eligibility. To apply online visit ACPBenefit.org or download an application (también disponible en español) and send it to USAC at the address on the form. USAC will notify you of your eligibility status once it receives your completed application and the required proof of eligibility. If your ACP eligibility is approved, you must call Frontier at 1.844.342.7501 to apply the discount to your bill.
If/when the ACP ends, or when a household is no longer eligible, non-discounted service rates, terms, and conditions will apply.
Note: If you currently receive a Lifeline benefit, you automatically qualify for the ACP (but you still need to contact us to apply the credit and agree to the terms). You can receive both benefits at the same time and apply them to the same or different services or different providers.
