To set up your Frontier email account in Microsoft Windows Mail:

  1. Launch Windows Mail and click Tools > Accounts.
  2. Click Add > Email Account > Next.
  3. Enter your display name (this is that name that appears on all of your outgoing email), then click Next.
  4. Enter your Frontier, FrontierNet, Citlink, Newnorth, Epix, or GVNI email address and click Next.
  5. At the top, you should see: My incoming mail  server is a  POP3 server.
  6. Set your Incoming mail (POP3) to
  7. Set your Outgoing mail (SMTP) to
  8. Place a checkmark in the box to the left of My server, which requires authentication and click Next.
  9. For your Internet Mail Logon, enter your complete email address and password. You can place a checkmark in Remember Password.
  10. Click Next > Finish > Close.
  11. To enable  SSL encryption:
    1. Click Tools > Accounts and highlight your account, the click Properties.
    2. Click the Servers tab.
    3. Make sure that you have for the incoming server and for the outgoing server.
    4. Click the Advanced tab.
    5. For the outgoing mail server type 465. Check the box next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL).
    6. For the incoming mail server type 995. Check the box next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL).
    7. Click OK > Close.
