How to install and use Whole-Home Wi-Fi Plus

If you’re upgrading from Whole-Home Wi-Fi to Whole-Home Wi-Fi Plus, you’ll need to return the extra devices you received with your Whole-Home Wi-FI service. Please see the FAQs below for more information.

Step 1: Download the MyFrontier app

Download the MyFrontier app, create an account, and follow the step-by-step instructions to add your new Whole-Home Wi-Fi plus eero devices to your network.

Customers who already have a Frontier provided eero:

To take full advantage of the performance of the eero Max 7 devices included with Whole-Home Wi-FI Plus, be sure to swap your main eero router with one of the eero Max 7 routers. You’ll use your main eero router and the second eero Max 7 in your self-install kit to extend your Wi-Fi across your home.

    Step 2: Download the eero app

    To use Wi-Fi Security Plus, download or open the eero app for iOS or Android and you’ll be able to access and use your security tools. Tap eero Plus in the app to get started.

      Whole-Home Wi-Fi Plus FAQs

      I had Whole-Home Wi-Fi but upgraded to Whole-Home Wi-Fi Plus. What do I do with the extra eero devices I received when I purchased Whole-Home Wi-Fi?

      If you have 200 Mbps, 500 Mbps, 1 Gig or 2 Gig internet, you’ll need to return the extra devices you received when you purchased Whole-Home Wi-Fi, but you need to keep the main eero router you received when you signed up for your internet plan.

      Here’s an example:

      When you ordered Fiber 1 Gig internet and Whole-Home Wi-Fi. You received an eero Pro 6E device with your Fiber 1 Gig order and up to two extra eero Pro 6E devices with your Whole-Home Wi-Fi order.

      Now that you’ve upgraded to Whole-Home Wi-Fi Plus, the two extra eero Pro 6E devices you received for Whole-Home Wi-Fi must be returned. They will be replaced by the two eero Max 7 devices you’re getting with your upgrade to Whole-Home Wi-Fi Plus.

      How do I know which device is my main router?

      Typically, your main router is the eero device connected to your wall with an Ethernet cable.

      How do I return my extra eero devices?

      You’ll receive an email or text message with a QR code. This QR code can be used to return your equipment at a local The UPS Store®.

      How to return equipment through your local The UPS Store

      No boxes or labels are needed. The UPS Store will pack your equipment, print shipping labels, provide a receipt and ship the equipment back to us.

      1. Find a The UPS Store near you
      2. Bring the equipment you need to return and have your QR code handy
      3. A The UPS Store associate will scan your QR code to verify your equipment

      How to return equipment from home

      If you don't have a The UPS Store nearby, you can request shipping boxes and mail the equipment to us. Here's how it works:

      1. Request your prepaid mailers and shipping boxes
      2. We’ll send you boxes and a UPS return mailing label within 5-7 business days
      3. Follow the enclosed instructions and pack your boxes
      4. Take your packed boxes to an authorized UPS location for shipping. Be sure to get a receipt

      You must return equipment within 30 days of completing your equipment return request. If we haven’t received your equipment within that time, you’ll be charged up to $500 for each unreturned device, depending on your model.

      Whole-Home WI-Fi Plus includes two eero max 7 devices with the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology.

      How many devices are included with Whole-Home Wi-Fi?

      Whole-Home Wi-Fi includes up to two eero devices with Wi-Fi 6 technology (or one Wi-Fi 7 device for eero Max 7 users).
